Chief of Underwriting Technology at String and Key

Robin Martucci-Livote is the current Chief of Underwriting Technology at String and Key. Robin has over 25 years of experience in the underwriting field. Robin started their career at MetLife in September 1990 as a Chief Underwriter and worked there for 26 years. In June 2016, they joined MassMutual Financial Group as a Senior Strategic Underwriting Consultant.

At MassMutual, Robin owned the company's proprietary Life Underwriting rules engine. Robin was responsible for identifying, creating, prioritizing, negotiating, documenting, and communicating all company design enhancements to increase volume of automated decisions or required changes to comply with regulatory or underwriting guideline changes.

During their time at MassMutual, Robin addressed the challenges of Covid-19 by designing and implementing a "just-in-time" claims triage process that provided sufficient additional data to continue making offers to most clients without an exam or blood work. Robin also justified lowering term premium rates by identifying mortality improvement through protective value and proof of concept studies on medical claim vendors. In addition, they enhanced Broker / Agent recruitment by devising guidelines for niche underwriting markets favored by top producers, including High Net Worth Foreign risks, Professional Athletes, and Executive group plans.

Robin Martucci-Livote has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marist College, and is certified as an Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner Credential from MassMutual, and as a Registered Principal from FINRA.

Robin Martucci-Livote reports to Alexander Matjanec, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Soongsup Shin - Director of Design, Susan Park - Head of Finance, and David Hyman - Head of Product Engineering.
