Sarah Meredith has extensive experience in leadership and advocacy roles. Sarah is currently the Executive Director of Public Affairs and Media at the Stroke Foundation. Prior to this, they served as a Non-Executive Director at WomenCAN Australia. From 2016 to 2022, they held various positions at Global Citizen, including Regional Director for Oceania and Country Director for Australia. In these roles, they focused on ending extreme poverty, securing funding for global initiatives, and organizing global events. Before joining Global Citizen, they worked for the Australian Government as a Senior Adviser to the Minister for the Environment and as an Adviser to the Minister for Mental Health. Sarah also worked for the Victorian Government as an Adviser to the Minister for Mental Health and the Minister for the Environment & Climate Change, Youth Affairs. Prior to their government roles, they worked as an Adviser to a Federal Member for Flinders and Shadow Minister for Environment & Climate Action, where they were responsible for managing environment portfolio matters.
Sarah Meredith completed their graduate course, the Company Directors Course, at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master of International and Community Development degree from Deakin University between 2010 and 2015. In 2005, they graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Criminology & Political Science. Sarah also attended Ormond College at the University of Melbourne in 2003 and 2004. Sarah completed their secondary education at St Francis Xavier College from 1996 to 2001, specializing in Secondary Education years 7-12.
