Alex Ballatori

Alex Ballatori has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Alex is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of StrokeDx, a company focusing on stroke diagnostics. In 2023, they were part of the MTI 2023 Cohort at MedTech Innovator, where StrokeDx was voted as the top choice for investment interest. Prior to that, Alex worked as a Medical Research Consultant at The Mac Parkman Foundation, specializing in psychiatric manifestations following concussion/mTBI. Alex has also served as a Medical Researcher at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, conducting research in various domains. Alex's experience also includes working as a Research and Development Technician at Simparo Surgical, where they participated in the development of a prototype for the treatment of thumb carpometacarpal joint arthritis. Additionally, they have worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at UCSF Medical Center, contributing to the development of techniques and biomarkers for diagnosing back pain. Alex started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where they conducted research on the neurological impact of ambient air pollution and served as a surgical assistant in the Plastic Surgery Department.

Alex Ballatori obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Rochester between 2013 and 2017. Currently, Alex is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, with an expected completion date of 2023.
