Amy Smith has over 10 years of experience in Human Resources. Amy began their career in 2011 as a Human Resources Assistant at Ropes & Gray LLP, where they managed the firm's FMLA and leave of absences, coordinated the tuition assistance and employee referral bonus programs, and managed an RFP process to identify, test and implement a new background check provider. Amy also served as a Professional Development Assistant, organizing tactical requirements for all Corporate Department trainings, coordinating logistics for 3 corporate training camps, and maintaining the Professional Development Department intranet site.

In 2016, Smith joined Forrester as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, they consulted with the two largest business units on performance management, employee retention, and talent-development strategies. Amy also engaged the business on headcount choices and provided day-to-day management to two junior employees.

In 2017, Smith joined Rapid7 as an HR Business Partner and Senior People Strategist. Amy consulted with the Product & Engineering teams, managed employee relations and performance issues, and coached new and experienced managers.

In 2020, Smith joined Springboard as a Career Coach for Software Engineering & Data Analytics. Amy supported aspiring software engineers and data analysts to develop the strategies, confidence and networking to find rewarding career experiences.

Most recently, in 2021, Smith joined strongDM as a Senior Manager of People Strategy and Manager of People Strategy & Employee Experience Manager. In this role, they designed, proposed, and implemented an industry-leading parental leave policy and built strongDM's first onboarding program.

Amy Smith has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University. Amy also holds a Yoga Alliance 200 CYT certification from the Costa Dulce School of Yoga, which they earned in 2019. Additionally, Amy Smith has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing, Management and the Environment, as well as Sociology, from the University of Vermont.
