Peter Okwi

Peter Okwi has a diverse work experience, starting in 2001 at the Bank of Uganda as a Senior System Integrator. Peter then joined the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) in 2006, where they held the positions of Information Services Manager and later became Head of Department for Information Services & Operations until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Peter worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. as the Director of Operations for CHAI Rwanda and later became the Country Director. Peter then joined the SADC Malaria Elimination 8 Secretariat in 2018, serving as the Ag. Director and Head of Finance, Grants, and Operations. Currently, Peter is with StrongMinds as the Country Director and Chief Operating Officer since 2020.

Peter Okwi obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School in 2014. Prior to this, they completed a Master's Degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2005. Peter also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Makerere University.
