Santha Santhakumar

Santha Santhakumar is a Senior Staff Scientist and Project Manager at Acceleration Consortium/Structural Genomics Consortium at the University of Toronto since February 2024, and has been a Project Manager at the Structural Genomics Consortium since November 2013. Previously, Santha served as a Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D Montreal from February 1998 to May 2012, where contributions included leading drug discovery projects, managing teams, and enhancing operational efficiency through lean sigma methodologies. Prior positions include Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Toronto and the University of Nottingham, focusing on the synthesis of enediyne-based anticancer prodrugs. Santha holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Leeds and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Jaffna.
