This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales and business development strategies and contributing to the overall success of our commercial development team.

As a Senior Sales Representative, reporting directly to SVP Commercial Development, you will leverage your extensive experience to drive the growth of our business. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successful lead generation, relationship building, and a deep understanding of the sales process. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, leveraging cold calling, email campaigns, and market analysis to identify and target new business opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, delivering compelling presentations that showcase the value proposition of our products/services.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, tailoring proposals to address specific client needs identified during the prospecting phase.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to optimize client engagement and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to sales.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and ownership of the sales process.
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
  • Identify new opportunities for business growth and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills to create mutually beneficial agreements and close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives, sharing insights and best practices to enhance overall sales team performance.
  • Proficient in using sales and CRM tools to track and manage leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed based on data for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with sales automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to leverage automation for email campaigns, follow-ups, and lead nurturing.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of proven experience in B2B business development or a related role, with a focus on lead generation and client engagement.
  • B2B experience selling professional services or in a complex sales environment.
  • Life Sciences experience is a must. For Life Sciences specific Clinical Development experience (eCOA/ePRO in particular)
  • Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding lead generation targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and advanced knowledge of sales automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Metrics-Driven decision maker. Ability to measure and report on sales performance and make adjustments as needed.
