Marty S.

Marty S. has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Marty began their career in 1996 as a Warehouse Supervisor and IT support at GENCO, where they supervised daily shipping and receiving operations, managed employee training, and maintained local servers and network infrastructure.

In 2007, Marty joined McAfee as a Software Engineer, where they participated in agile processes and meetings, developed internal tools using PHP and Perl, and created user-friendly interfaces using ExtJS and AJAX. Marty also contributed to various projects such as implementing database handlers and creating submission systems for malicious files.

From 2013 to 2015, Marty worked at Comcast as Engineer 3, Engineering Ops (XNOC) and later as Engineer 1, Software Dev & Engineering. In these roles, they collaborated with cross-functional teams, contributed to software development and engineering operations, and gained experience in Linux shell scripting and command line usage.

Marty then joined Pacific Metrics in 2016 as a Development Operations Engineer. Here, they served as the primary DevOps resource for two teams, implementing automated build and deployment processes using various tools such as Bash, Python, Ansible, and Jenkins. Marty also played a role in managing AWS environments and introduced continuous integration processes to the build pipeline.

Following this, Marty joined ACT in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer, DevOps. Marty continued their work in DevOps, contributing to the development and maintenance of automated build and deployment processes. In this position, they made use of tools like Git, Jenkins, and Docker.

Most recently, Marty joined Stuzo in 2022 as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they are currently working.
