Kaye Nicolson

Kaye Nicolson has a diverse work experience in journalism and media. Kaye started their career as a Reviewer for Three Weeks in 2007. Kaye then worked as a Feature Writer for City Travel Review in 2009, where they contributed travel features and participated in a project in Berlin. In 2010, they had a work placement at Sky News and also worked as an Editorial Assistant at Artmag. That same year, they became a District Reporter for the Press and Journal, covering court cases, local government, and community issues in the Moray area. Kaye then joined Edinburgh Evening News in 2014, where they took on multiple roles including General Reporter and Crime Reporter, providing coverage of crime, court cases, and policing issues. Kaye also contributed articles to the Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday. Currently, they are working for STV Group plc as a Television News Reporter and previously held the role of Online Production Journalist.

Kaye Nicolson's education history began at Forres Academy, where they attended from 1999 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Literature at The University of Edinburgh, completing it in 2009. In 2009-2010, Kaye continued their education at Edinburgh Napier University, where they obtained an MA degree in Journalism with a focus on the relationship between the Press and Journal and its readership. In terms of academic research, Kaye's dissertation focused on the personal and political aspects in Seamus Heaney's poetry during their time at The University of Edinburgh, while their dissertation at Edinburgh Napier University examined the relationship between the Press and Journal and its readership.
