Harris Novick is an experienced software engineer and entrepreneur with a background in building and scaling tech and media businesses. Harris is currently serving as the Co-founder and CTO of Subtext since January 2019. Prior to that, Harris worked at Advance Alpha Group as the Lead Development Strategist, where they focused on using technology to differentiate products and launch them as standalone businesses.

Harris has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Capture Media, Inc., where they developed and implemented strategies for integrating user-generated media into an interactive map-based search interface. Harris has also worked as a Software Consultant, Software Engineer, and Web Developer for various companies, including BestVendor, Sony Music Entertainment, Lifebooker, Off Site Services Inc., Cypress Recruiting Group, Inc., and as a freelance creative.

Throughout their career, Harris has demonstrated expertise in technologies such as Ruby, Rails, RSpec, Jasmine, Coffeescript, Chef, Rightscale, BASH, Wordpress, HAML, SCSS, Backbone, Heroku, Facebook Graph API, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PHP, and PSD Slicing.

Harris Novick obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University, where they studied Political Science, Religious Studies, and Music Composition. This educational experience took place from 2003 to 2007.
