Dorian Dale

Dorian Dale is a Suffolk County representative for the South Shore Estuary Reserve, focusing on sustainability, recovery, and mitigation efforts in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and sea-level rise. As the Director of Sustainability & Chief Recovery Officer for Suffolk County, Dorian oversees economic development initiatives that are sustainable and economically self-sustaining. In addition to their role in Suffolk County, Dorian also serves in various positions such as Surrogate Commissioner for the Pine Barrens Commission and as a Board Member for the Suffolk County Aquaculture Lease Program. With a background in physiological psychology and physical anthropology, Dorian brings a unique perspective to their work in environmental excellence and sustainable economic development.
