James Powell

James Powell is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public relations and community engagement. As the Communications Manager at Suffolk Libraries since February 2013, James has effectively raised awareness and reshaped perceptions of library services, successfully navigating challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, James served as the Public Relations Manager at Optua, a disability charity, and held the position of Communications Officer at Suffolk County Council. James holds a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University for the Creative Arts, completed in 1996.
