Sakthivel Gopal

Sakthivel Gopal has a wealth of experience in the IT and security fields. Sakthivel began their career in 1992 as an IT Manager for Indian Oil Corporation (Systems). Sakthivel then moved to Bell USA Inc. (Client - Pharmchem Inc.) in 1999, where they worked as a DBA and Software Developer. In 2001, they joined Sun Microsystems Inc. as a Staff Development Engineer and Software Engineer - Quality & Customer Focused. In 2010, they took on the role of IT Manager, Data Center Operations at SAP SuccessFactors, where they were responsible for managing NOC and Production Support. In 2011, they became Manager (Systems Operations) at Oracle Responsys. In 2017, they took on the role of Cloud Architect, Production Operations, Shared Software Services at Matson. In 2019, they became Director of DevOps at ZypMedia, Inc. and in 2020 they became Director of Infrastructure and Security at Skylo Technologies. Currently, Sakthivel Gopal is the Head of Cloud Infrastructure, IT & Security at Suki.

Sakthivel Gopal has a BS/B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from RVS College of Engineering and Technology. Sakthivel also holds several certifications, including CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator from CNCF [Cloud Native Computing Foundation] (obtained in June 2020), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (obtained in November 2018), Certified Information Systems Security Professional from (ISC)² (obtained in July 2016), Professional Cloud Architect from Google Cloud (obtained in April 2022), Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud (obtained in April 2022), Oracle Certified MySQL Database Administrator from Sun Microsystems, and Sun Certified Solaris Systems and Network Administrator from Sun Microsystems.
