Daniel Martin has a substantial work history, primarily with Sulzer. Daniel started their career at Sulzer in 1996 as an apprentice and worked their way up through various roles, including Field Service Technician and Welding Expert. In 2004, they transitioned to a new company called Optimo Service AG, where they worked as a Field Service Technician for three years. Daniel then returned to Sulzer in 2010 as the Head of the Joining and Heat Treatment Department. Martin took a sabbatical in 2013 before resuming their employment at Sulzer in 2014. Since then, they have held several positions, including Global Welding Specialist, Global Lead Engineer Welding, and Manager at Source Quality. Their most recent role at Sulzer is Global Head Supplier Quality, which they have held since 2020.
Daniel Martin attended various educational institutions throughout their career. In 2006-2007, they studied at SVS Basel and obtained a degree in International Welding Specialist as an IWS Schweissfachmann. In 2008, they attended Sulzer Innotec and gained a VT Level 2 Sichtprüfer certification in Visual Testing according to ISO 9712. In 2010-2011, they pursued further studies at SwissMEM, specializing in Production Management and achieving the title of Industriemeister with a federal advanced diploma and professional training. In 2013, they attended SVS Basel again and completed training as an IWIP Schweissgüteprüfer, becoming an International Welding Inspection Personnel. In 2022, Daniel enrolled at the BSI Training Academy to become a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015. Simultaneously, they also pursued a CAS Management & Change degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften at Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland, graduating in 2023.
