Juan Ferreira

Juan Ferreira has over 30 years of experience in various executive roles in the agricultural industry. Juan currently serves as the Executive Vice Chairman at Valent U.S.A. LLC and the Managing Executive Officer at Sumitomo Chemical, where they focus on executive management, global expansion strategy, and business growth. Prior to these roles, Ferreira was the President and CEO of Sumitomo Chemical Latin America, responsible for leading the growth and expansion of Sumitomo Chemical businesses in the region. Juan has also held advisory board positions at Aggio and Seed-X, and served as a Venture Partner at The Yield Lab. Earlier in their career, Ferreira held multiple leadership positions at Monsanto Company, including Global Vice President and various Vice President roles in marketing, technology development, and regional management. Juan began their career in account management and sales at Dow AgroSciences.

Juan Ferreira has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, which they obtained from 1984 to 1989. Juan then pursued a Master of Science in Marketing from the same university, completing it in 1990-1991. In 2000-2001, they attended Florida International University and earned an Executive MBA. Additionally, in 2018, Juan completed an Executive Seminar in Agribusiness at Harvard Business School. Juan also participated in an Executive Marketing & Sales Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2001.
