Aidan McAnena is currently a Research Assistant at the Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering Lab at UMass Medical School, focusing on the design and characterization of functional synthetic hydrogels to prevent joint infections. In addition, Aidan serves as a Test Prep Tutor at Summit Educational Group, providing individualized and group instruction for ACT and SAT preparation. Previous experience includes academic tutoring for ISEE test preparation and high school coursework at General Academic, Inc., and an Engineering Internship at Baylor College of Medicine, where Aidan worked on biotechnology device design. Aidan's research background includes an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at Rice University, contributing to a biochemistry project in the Kirienko Lab. Aidan is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at UMass Chan Medical School after earning a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Rice University.
