Maryam Razi, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in research and engineering roles. Maryam is currently working as a Technology Development Engineer at Summit Nanotech. Maryam furthered their studies at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Engineering, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering from 2014 to 2018.

In 2019, Maryam Razi was awarded the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary. Their research focus during this fellowship was also in the field of Chemical Engineering.

In addition to their academic degrees, Maryam Razi has obtained several certifications. Maryam also holds certifications in "Conventional and Deep Offshore Structures, Pipelines and Floating Systems" and "Reservoir Simulation," both obtained in May 2010 from TPA and TOTAL E&P Iran in Shiraz, Iran. Furthermore, they completed a certification in "HSE in oil, gas and petrochemical industries" in 2011, provided by the Industrial Management Organization in Shiraz, Iran. Additionally, they participated in a workshop titled "Fundamentals of Environmental Monitoring," organized by COSIA (Canada's Oil Sands Innovation Alliance) in partnership with Sustainability Resources Ltd in September 2014 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
