Hesam Masoumi

Hesam Masoumi currently serves as Vice President of Product & Strategy at Sun Life, a position held since May 2022. Prior to this role, Hesam was Senior Director of Product at RBC Ventures, overseeing a portfolio of health and wellness products from July 2019 to May 2022. Additional experience includes leading the launch of Muse 2 and other offerings at Muse from May 2018 to July 2019, and managing digital strategy and innovation at Cancer Care Ontario from October 2014 to May 2018. Hesam founded Whirlybyrd.io, a hardware start-up, and served as Product Innovation Advisor for the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2016. Previous roles include Senior Innovation Strategist at Idea Couture Inc. and Senior Strategy Consultant at Blast Radius. Hesam co-founded Cultiva Foods Inc., a guilt-free snacking company, and provided product strategy consulting for start-up formation at Quandl. Educational background encompasses degrees in Commerce with a focus on Strategic Management from the University of Toronto, and Management, Cultural Studies & Art History from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), along with a summer program in French and Cultural Studies at the University of Lausanne.
