Aaron Oppenheimer

City Administrator

Aaron Oppenheimer, ICMA-CM, has served as the City Administrator for the City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, since December 2012, overseeing a community of 39,419 residents. Prior to this role, Aaron was the Village Administrator for the Village of Bellevue, Wisconsin, from November 2007 to December 2012, managing a high-growth community of 14,500 residents. Aaron also held the position of Village Manager in the Village of Holly, Michigan, from May 2005 to November 2007, and in the Village of Decatur, Michigan, from May 2002 to April 2005. Aaron began a career in municipal management as an Administrative Intern for the City of Janesville, Wisconsin, serving a population of 63,000 from 2000 to 2002. Aaron's educational background includes a Certificate in Senior Executives in State & Local Government from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master of Public Administration in Urban Administration from Northern Illinois University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Rockford University, along with an Associate's Degree in Political Science and Government from Highland Community College.
