Douglas Treadwell

Douglas Treadwell has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Douglas started their career at 33Across Inc. in 2011 as a Software Engineer, where they studied research papers and worked on data processing and report generation.

In 2012, Douglas joined Mint.com / Intuit as a Senior Software Engineer and Scrum Master. Douglas played a key role in developing a new user interface theming system and excelled in front-end development.

As a Co-Founder of Campaign Against Aging from 2009 to 2014, Douglas organized activities to increase public awareness of efforts to enhance human "healthspan". Douglas also built a significant part of the organization's website.

At Birst in 2013, Douglas served as a Senior Front-End Engineer and initiated customer interviews to understand their needs. Douglas became an expert in chart theory and developed the "chart previews" feature.

In 2014, Douglas joined Beckon, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. Douglas worked closely with the VP of Product Management and Creative Director and redesigned the entire site interface.

From 2015 to 2016, Douglas worked at DISTRIBUTE as the Lead Front-End Engineer, where they built a robust foundation for future development of an AngularJS single-page application, among other responsibilities. Douglas later served as the Head of Engineering and VP of Engineering, managing teams and contributing to front-end and back-end development.

At Affirm, Inc. in 2017, Douglas was a Senior Staff Software Engineer and focused on converting database code to the repository pattern. Douglas also improved code reliability and introduced the use of OpenAPI for API documentation.

From 2017 to 2020, Douglas worked at Hippo Insurance as a Staff Software Engineer/Technical Lead. Douglas played a significant role in converting complex Angular pages to React and Redux and led the development of the Customer Portal website.

Douglas then joined Rapid Robotics, Inc. in 2020 as the Director of Engineering. Douglas contributed extensively to the codebase, scaled the team from 1 to 4 engineers, and transformed an interactive demo into a working product.

Currently, Douglas is the Senior Engineering Manager at Sundae, where they lead a team of up to 15, including managers, engineers, and testers. Douglas has built the team from a few engineers to its current size.

Douglas Treadwell has a diverse education history. Douglas received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Stanford University, where they took Advanced Project Management and Professional Development Courses, earning a Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) certification. Douglas also attended Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on Software Architecture. Additionally, they engaged in online learning through Coursera, studying Computer Science, Biology, and Finance.
