Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Eric currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Sundae since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pinnacol Assurance as the Director of Platform Architecture and Quality Assurance from 2017 to 2022, where they were responsible for designing and implementing a workers' compensation policy management platform within Salesforce.com. Eric also managed in-house and third-party teams to meet project requirements. Before focusing on platform architecture, Eric held the position of Technical Solution Architect at Pinnacol Assurance.

Eric also worked at Cake Insure, a subsidiary of Pinnacol Assurance, as the Director of Platform Architecture and Quality Assurance from 2019 to 2020. Here, they led the design and implementation of a workers' compensation policy management platform on Salesforce.com.

In addition to their roles at Pinnacol Assurance and Cake Insure, Eric had their own consulting business as a Salesforce.com Consulting Architect from 2016 to 2019, providing solutions to small and mid-size enterprises.

Prior to their consulting career, Eric worked at RealD as the Director of Web Systems and Applications from 2015 to 2017. Eric was responsible for overseeing the maintenance, support, and development of SaaS business applications. Eric also served as the Database Manager and Salesforce.com Administrator and contributed to designing and implementing systems to track company-owned assets and managing cloud-based solutions.

Before RealD, Eric worked at Perimeter E-Security as a Program Manager, overseeing multiple projects and providing support for existing products. Eric also worked at USA.NET as a Salesforce.com Administrator and Customer Service Manager, where they deployed and administered Salesforce.com companywide and managed a customer support team.

Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Senior Technical Support Representative and Team Trainer at Convergys, and as the Principal at Computer Solutions, LLC. Eric also served as the Student Helpdesk Manager at Regis University.

Overall, Eric Nelson has extensive experience in engineering, platform architecture, quality assurance, Salesforce.com administration, consulting, and program management.

Eric Nelson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Regis University in the years 1999 to 2003. Eric later pursued a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Colorado State University from 2010 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Eric obtained various certifications, including the Salesforce.com Certified Advanced Administrator from Salesforce.com in November 2013 and the Salesforce.com Certified Administrator in September 2009. Eric also obtained certifications in Organizational Development, Psychological Measurement and Methodologies, and Performance Management from Colorado State University in August 2013, December 2012, and March 2012 respectively.
