John Foreman

John Foreman started their career as a Sr. PV Systems Engineer & Bankability Program Manager at Solopower in 2009. John then worked as a Product Manager at Twin Creeks Technologies, Inc, where they developed a PV product roadmap. In 2012, they became a Product Manager at Trina Solar, managing the launch of the Trina Smart and Trina Duo series modules. John joined Canadian Solar Inc. in 2013 as a Product Manager, responsible for 3rd party test programs and the development of the Dymond dual-glass PV module. John then worked as a Product Manager at Sonnenbatterie GmbH, where they oversaw the North American BESS Product Development. In 2015, they became a Technical Director at Solar Frontier K.K., overseeing CIS solar PV module bankability and BESS strategy. John then worked at Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc. as a Senior Product Manager in 2019. In 2020, they joined DEHUI SOLAR as a Sr. Director of Technology and crossed over their IEC-based products to bankable products for North American markets. In 2021, they became the Sr. Director of Technology at Erthos, Inc., contributing foundational works to the company. Currently, John is the Director of Systems Engineering at Sunnova Energy since 2023.

John Foreman attended Penn State University from 2001 to 2007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Materials Science and Engineering. During their time at Penn State, they focused on Electronics & Photonics Materials and studied subjects such as Crystal Physics/Chemistry, Thin-Films, Bandgap Engineering, Optical Physics, and Thermodynamics. Prior to attending university, John completed the Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma Program at Altoona Area High School from 1996 to 1998.
