Tim Mathis

Tim Mathis, CPA, CMA, EA has held various roles throughout their work experience. Tim began their career in 1998 as a Tax Manager at PwC, where they worked until 2001. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a State & Local Tax Manager at KPMG. Following this, they worked as the Director of Client Services at Planitax from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they joined Deloitte Tax, LLP as a Tax Senior Manager and worked there until 2008. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Tax Senior Manager at BDO USA, LLP. Tim then served as the Corporate Tax Officer at Sierra Nevada Corp from 2011 to 2016. In 2017, they joined HomeAway as the Director of Commercial Finance and International Tax, a position they held until 2019. Currently, they work at Sunnova Energy Corp. as the SVP of Tax & Financial Operations and Chief Risk Officer.

Tim Mathis, CPA, CMA, EA has a Master of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Tim also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Mathematics from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which they completed from 1988 to 1991. Additionally, Tim has a Certification of Accounting Professional (CAP) from the University of Houston. Tim holds additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the institution Certified Management Accountant: CMA®, and an Enrolled Agent (EA) from the Internal Revenue Service.
