Malikah Hassan has an extensive work experience spanning over a decade. Malikah began their career in 2010 as a Customer Specialist at Best Buy and later worked as a Phlebotomist (Donor Specialist II) at Inova Blood Donor Services. Malikah then transitioned to roles as an Activities Assistant and Dietary Aide at Fairfax Nursing Center. In 2014, they joined Sunrise Senior Living as an Intern and later served as a Concierge. Malikah also worked as a Server at The Kensington Falls Church. From 2017 to 2021, they held positions as an Activities Assistant and Activities Director at Coordinated Services Management, Inc. Following this, they served as a Move-in Coordinator at Retirement Unlimited Inc. Malikah then worked as an Admissions Supervisor at Birmingham Green until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations at Sunrise Community, Inc.

Malikah Hassan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from George Mason University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Social Sciences at Northern Virginia Community College from 2010 to 2013.
