Avtar Kooner

Avtar Kooner currently serves as the Vice President of North American Operations at Sunrise Medical, overseeing operations, supply chain, and logistics for the company’s medical device business since September 1997. With extensive experience in production, procurement, quality, and safety, Avtar has held various leadership positions including VP of Manufacturing Operations and Senior Director of Operations. Previous roles include New Product Development Project Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included managing multi-functional teams and implementing production systems. Prior to Sunrise Medical, Avtar worked as an R&D Testing Engineer at Mazda Motors. Academically, Avtar holds an MBA in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University.
