Jenny Hamer

Jenny Hamer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jenny is currently working as the Human Resources Director at Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Mount Royal University from July 2021, where they held the position of Director, Talent & Strategy, and also served as a Talent & Organizational Development Business Partner from November 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining Mount Royal University, Jenny worked at The Calgary Stampede, starting in February 2014. Jenny held the role of Manager, Talent Acquisition and Development, where they led a team responsible for talent management strategies and worked closely with the executive leadership team.

Prior to that, Jenny worked at Walmart from February 2013 to February 2014 as a Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist. Jenny was involved in designing recruitment and selection techniques and processes for multiple regions.

Jenny's work experience also includes their time at TJX Canada/Winners Merchants International L.P. from January 2010 to February 2013, where they served as the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager. Jenny led the recruitment process and aligned strategies with store operational needs.

Before that, Jenny worked at Dandara Ltd from January 2007 to January 2009 as a Recruitment Manager, where they implemented recruitment strategies and developed new policies and procedures.

Their career began at MGMS International in March 2004, where they worked as a Researcher until January 2007.

Overall, Jenny Hamer has gained extensive experience in various HR roles, including talent acquisition, talent development, and strategy, making their a valuable asset in the field of human resources.

Jenny Hamer attended De Montfort University from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies.
