Simon Bernis

Simon Bernis has extensive work experience in project management and water/wastewater management roles. simon currently holds a Senior Project Manager position at Sunwater since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Seqwater from February 2018 to October 2020. Simon has also worked as the Water, Wastewater, and Waste Departments Manager at Moorea City Council from August 2010 to August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning, project and budget management, and delivering water, wastewater, and waste services to the residents of Moorea. Before that, Simon served as the Water Reticulation Service Manager at Redland City Council from April 2009 to July 2010. simon also worked at Lyonnaise des Eaux, where they held positions such as Sewer Operation and Maintenance Manager from October 2006 to September 2008, and Business Unit Deputy Manager from February 2005 to October 2006. In these roles, Simon demonstrated leadership and management skills, handled project management activities, and maintained effective communication with stakeholders.

Simon BERNIS completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Biochemical Engineering from Swansea University, where they studied from 2001 to 2003. simon pursued further education by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Water Resources Technology and Management from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 2003 to 2004.
