Ashif Bhuiyan

Ashif Bhuiyan is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University at Albany since October 2023. Previously, Ashif worked as a Research Assistant at Queens College from August 2017 to January 2024, where responsibilities included the development of inhibitors for Cathepsin L and B, solid phase peptide synthesis, and structure-activity relationship optimization. Additional experience includes visiting research positions at LaGuardia Community College and Queens College, focusing on zymogen activity and virus cultivation. Ashif also worked as a Quality Assurance professional at Sanofi and contributed to research as an Associate Researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Ashif holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Queens College and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
