Jessica Rogers

Associate Professor at SUNY Potsdam

Jessica Rogers has a diverse background in academia and environmental conservation. Jessica is currently an Associate Professor at SUNY Potsdam, where they specialize in Environmental Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies. Jessica'sresearch focuses on the use of GIS technology to inform conservation decisions, specifically investigating the impact of invasive plants in Northern New York and deforestation in Central Africa. Prior to their current position, Jessica was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Canton and an Adjunct Professor at St. Lawrence University. Jessica also taught as an Adjunct Instructor at SUNY Jefferson. Jessica began their career as a Grad Student at Columbia University, where they studied from 2003 to 2011. Jessica also gained valuable experience at the Wildlife Conservation Society, serving as a Web Manager for International Conservation from 2004 to 2006 and as an Intern for Asia and Africa Programs from 2002 to 2004.

Jessica Rogers completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued their Ph.D. in Forestry Conservation at Columbia University from 2003 to 2010.
