Sairaman Nagarajan

Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center

Sairaman Nagarajan, MD, MPH, currently serves as an Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine since June 2023. Previously, Sairaman worked as an Allergist at Allergy and Asthma Care of Brooklyn and as a Clinical Consultant for the World Health Organization, providing clinical input on COVID-19 and contributing to systematic reviews and peer-reviewed publications. Sairaman's extensive clinical training includes a Clinical Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where skills in managing allergic disorders and conducting research were developed. Notable research projects include studies on allergic sensitization in urban children and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Sairaman has also completed observational rotations at Columbia University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and began academia with a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Sairaman holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from SRM University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Rutgers University.
