Jurie Horneman

Jurie Horneman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Jurie started their career as a Project Manager at Rockstar Games, where they managed the Xbox conversion of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and led the development of Manhunt 2 for PS2 and Xbox. Jurie then worked as a Developer at Tupalo.com, contributing to design and strategy for a local business review site.

In 2006, Jurie became a Freelance Game Designer/Producer, working on a large virtual world project and providing design, technical, and strategic input to a multi-studio 3D virtual world project for MTV. Jurie also designed APIs for unified player experiences across multiple games and websites.

Jurie joined Arkane Studios in 2008 as a Producer, working on the development and design of LMNO, a co-developed title with Electronic Arts.

In 2009, Jurie co-founded Mi'pu'mi Games as Creative Director, leading the company's growth and responsible for defining and executing the creative strategy.

Jurie also had self-employment stints as a Freelance Game Developer, teaching game development and working on projects like Tale of Tales' Sunset and providing advisory services to Tequila Works on their title Rime.

From 2012 to 2015, Jurie served as a Steering Committee Member for the IGDA Artificial Intelligence SIG.

At Ubisoft Toronto, Jurie held various positions, including Lead R&D Programmer where they built the La Forge R&D lab, and as a Team Lead Gameplay Programmer.

Prior to their current role, Jurie worked at Possibility Space as a Senior Narrative Systems Engineer, and they are currently employed as the Lead Narrative Engineer at Super Evil Megacorp.
