Alex Jones

Alex Jones has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software engineering. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Web Developer at Spindogs, where they focused on developing projects to a high standard and implementing best practices. In 2015, they joined Kobalt Music as a Software Engineer, working with services like Spotify, Google Play, and Apple Music to process streaming data and distribute royalties. From 2017 to 2019, at DAZN, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, guiding team members, mentoring developers, and contributing to the architecture and design of a video player library. At Onin in 2020, they built a passwordless authentication system and implemented calendar event syncing. In 2021, at LandTech, they improved security by implementing a new bastion host setup and created a federated GraphQL gateway. Currently, at Super Payments Ltd since 2022, Alex is a Senior Software Engineer responsible for building and maintaining a payments system based on Open Banking and delivering a plugin for WooCommerce.

Alex Jones attended Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools from 2002 to 2009, but the degree and field of study are unknown. Later, from 2010 to 2013, Alex studied at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Alex achieved a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in October 2020, and an AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2020.
