Manuel Camarena is the current COO at SUPER73. Prior to this, they worked at Puffco from October 2017 to May 2021, where they were Head Of Operations. In this role, they directed a team of Product Managers and Engineers to define and develop new consumer electronic products for high-growth market segments. This helped Toshiba become the top supplier in the consumer electronics market. Furthermore, they created manufacturing and supply chain processes, lead compliance and quality standards implementation, and took a hands-on approach in driving overseas manufacturing partner selection and qualification.

At Puffco, Manuel also established new product ideas & strategies, long-term development plans & budgets, and lead the development of industrial design & user interface to create innovative, state of the art, consumer hardware and software solutions. Manuel did this by identifying market opportunities based on first hand analysis of market research and consumer studies, then creating MRDs and PRDs to enhance existing products and define new products with unique selling features. As a result of their work, new products overachieved on revenue, profit and units; set records in market share growth by becoming a top three retail supplier in less than one year, reached profitability in less than eight months, and fueled company revenue expansion with double digit year-over-year growth.

Additionally, Manuel spearhead product design, development, supply chain operations and manufacturing processes from the ground up, including specifications, industrial design, user interface, user experience, software development, testing requirements and packaging. Manuel also architected and implemented a new product development process (NPD/NPI) to build consensus rapidly on new market/product opportunities, reducing decision making time and mitigating risk. This accelerated time-to-market by 40%. Because of their work in this area, the new business unit became the division’s second largest and fueled company growth. Lastly, the products and solutions exceeded sales expectations, winning business and placement at national retailers (Best Buy, Office Depot, Wal-mart, Sam’s Club), while displacing significantly larger competitors.

Manuel Camarena has a BS in Business Administration from University of Phoenix, an Electrical Engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and a Technical Diploma in Electronics & Computer Technology from Don Bosco Technical Institute. Manuel also has certification in Extreme Ownership and Leadership from Echelon Front, Strategic Product Marketing and Management from 280 Group - Blackblot, Business and Marketing Planning from 280 Group - Blackblot, Procedural Requirements Management from 280 Group - Blackblot, Disk Drive Technology from KnowledgeTek, Media Spokesperson Training from Blue Streak Communications, and Influencing for Win-Win Outcomes from AchieveGlobal Kaset Intl.
