SALARY:  $22.00 per hour

The Inventory Control Analyst manages inventory through a database and maintains levels required daily to meet distribution demands.  Responsibilities include writing reports, discovering and analyzing discrepancies in the inventory and sales data, and improving the inventory control system in place in the La Vergne, TN distribution center.

Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

You will be responsible for...

Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies to determine root cause and suggested corrective actions.

Analyze transaction data for trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Prepare and Validate Item Counts, Bin Scans, Scan Record checks, and similar tasks.

Ensure prompt communication regarding inventory counts to company leadership and other departments.

Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management.

Adjust inventory based on actual counts completed.

Manage and maintain research bin.

Participate in coordinated physical inventories.

Assist with directing the inventory team.

Qualifications

Computer proficiency of Microsoft Office, WMS, and other data analysis tools and software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read and write in English.

Able to count and recognize products.

Problem solving skills; able to analyze situations.

Able to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.

Strong time management skills; able to multi-task.

Able to work in a team environment.

Organized, detail oriented.

Able to prioritize effectively; able to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions.

High school diploma, or GED.

Minimum 1 year of inventory control, preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment and can be loud.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects between 15 to 25 pounds.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
