April Tate

April Tate, PHR has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. April is currently working as a Senior Director Human Resources at Superior Industrial Maintenance Company since September 2022. Previously, they worked as a Regional Human Resources Business Partner at Rain For Rent from March 2021 to September 2022, providing HR leadership coaching and consulting to various regions. Prior to that, they were a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Family Trust Federal Credit Union from July 2016 to March 2021. April also has experience as an HR and Safety Manager at SUMMIT Engineering, Laboratory & Testing, P.C. from March 2013 to June 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Human Resources & Safety Coordinator at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc. from August 2012 to March 2013. April started their career as an HR Intern/Jr. HR Generalist at Goodrich from December 2011 to August 2012. April also served as an HR/Administrative Assistant at SUMMIT Engineering and Construction Services, Inc. for a brief period from August 2011 to January 2012. Prior to their HR roles, April gained customer relations and event planning experience as a Lead Conference Assistant at UNC Charlotte from May 2010 to August 2011. April also held various roles at UNC Charlotte including Campus Tour Guide, Resident Advisor, and Building Manager from August 2008 to May 2011. April's early work experience includes serving as a Server/Assistant Manager at Time to Eat Inc from May 2005 to August 2008.

April Tate, PHR received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology & Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in May 2015. April also completed a Human Resources Certificate Program at Central Piedmont Community College in March 2014 and obtained certifications as an OSHA Construction Industry Instructor from the Georgia Institute of Technology in June 2014 and as an OSHA General Industry Instructor from the same institution in December 2012. Most recently, they obtained an Employment Law Series Certification from The Employers Association in December 2017.
