Jiming Chen

Jiming Chen is a Computational Chemist currently working at Superluminal Medicines, Inc. since July 2023, following a role as a Computational Chemist at BAKX Therapeutics from August 2022 to July 2023, where Jiming provided computational support for small molecule discovery programs and developed Python-based workflows for simulations and analysis on AWS infrastructure. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2017 to August 2022, focusing on molecular mechanisms in plant strigolactone receptors through advanced simulation techniques. Additionally, Jiming has held teaching positions in chemical engineering, interned at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and participated in undergraduate research at Rice University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jiming holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in the same field from Rice University.
