Amos Ofer

COO at SuperMeat

Amos Ofer has worked in a variety of roles in the biotechnology industry. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Research Director of the IBD Center at Tel-Aviv Medical Center, where they managed a US$6M, 25-person multidisciplinary research project on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. From 2015 to 2016, they were the COO of Valin Technologies, a biotechnology company focused on research and development of innovative biological therapeutics and biosimilars. From 2018 to 2020, they were the VP Operations of Cellect Biotherapeutics Ltd., where they led the company's change management process and other key critical projects. Finally, from 2020 to 2022, they were the COO of Cellect Biotechnology Ltd., a clinical stage cell therapy company. During this time, they developed and GMP manufactured a critical protein reagent, successfully completed FDA applications and communications, located, contracted and managed offshore contractors, recruited and contracted clinical sites and PI's, and managed phase 1 and 1/2 clinical trials.

Amos Ofer's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General from Tel Aviv University, Faculty of life Science, obtained between 2000 and 2003. Amos then obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology from Tel Aviv University, Faculty of life Science, Department of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology between 2003 and 2005. Following this, they obtained a PhD in Microbiology from Tel Aviv University, Faculty of life Science, Department of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology between 2005 and 2010. In 2011, they obtained a Project Management certification from TECHNION - ISRAEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, the Division of Continuing Education & External Studies. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Executive MBA program from The Leon Recanati graduate school of business administration, Tel-Aviv University between 2012 and 2014, and a Corporate Directors and Officers program from The Leon Recanati graduate school of business administration - Lahav, Tel-Aviv University in 2020.
