Jaiwon Shin

Jaiwon Shin serves as the President of the AAM Division at Hyundai Motor Group, overseeing vehicle and market development teams in the U.S. and holding the position since December 2020. Additionally, Jaiwon Shin has been President and Executive Vice President at Hyundai Motor Group since September 2019 and the Chief Executive Officer of Supernal since February 2020. Prior to these roles, Jaiwon Shin was the Associate Administrator for Aeronautics at NASA, managing a significant aeronautics research portfolio. Jaiwon Shin holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University.
