Charles Barker

Lead Game Designer at SuperNatural Studios

Charles Barker has extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Charles started their career at Criterion Games as a Software Engineer and contributed to the development of multiple Burnout games. Charles then joined Electronic Arts / BlackBox Games as a Software Engineer and played a role in the creation of various Need For Speed games.

In 2009, Charles transitioned to Electronic Arts as a Software Engineer 2, where they worked on different projects until 2014.

From 2014 to 2017, they worked at East Side Games as a Senior Game Designer, where they were responsible for designing and optimizing social features for "Pot Farm: Grass Roots". Charles also mentored junior designers and played a key role in improving the content pipeline.

Charles then joined LBC Studios in 2017 as a Product Manager, where they drove the development of "Hempire" and facilitated the transition from outsourced to internal production teams.

After that, they worked at BlueBat Games as a Lead Game Designer, where they designed and implemented various features for the "Greentube Pro" Social Casino App.

In 2020, Charles returned to LBC Studios as a Lead Game Designer, where they continued to contribute to the development of games.

Most recently, Charles joined SuperNatural Studios in 2022 as a Lead Game Designer, and then moved to Offworld Industries in 2023 to continue leading game design efforts.

Charles Barker attended the University of Nottingham from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
