Job description

The Opportunity 

Supplier io seeking a Data Engineer with a strong experience in data engineering, including designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. This role also requires the resource to create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.

What You Will Do 

  • Design, create, modify, and review database objects (tables, views, indexes, keys, stored procedures, functions, DB links, etc.) to support development projects.
  • Design, build, and maintain extract-transformation-load (ETL) processes (Pentaho).
  • Implement and test database objects in non-production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design data solutions, and optimize data processing.
  • Develop and maintain data quality and governance strategies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize Stored procedures, Functions, Queries being used regular process requirements.
  • Addressing the support tickets in Production Environments.

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
  • 4+ years of experience in supporting the development of production-ready solutions leveraging data engineering.
  • 3+ years in a traditional data warehouse environment (ETL pipelines).
  • 3+ years of Strong hands-on experience in Node.js, Python and open-source libraries and tools such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas.
  • Experience working with agile and Software Development Lifecycle tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git.
  • 2+ years of experience working on cloud-based systems (Google Cloud) or AWS where you utilized the understanding of the simplicity and scalability of data pipelines and interfaces.
