Mike Holz

Mike Holz has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies.

Mike began their career at Prudential Insurance in 1988, where they held various roles including Claim Approver, Quality Review Technician, Claim Examiner, and System Coordinator. Mike then became a Senior Provider Relations Representative, responsible for creating and managing a managed provider network in the Twin Cities managed care market. During their time at Prudential, Mike also served as a Group Underwriter, developing rate proposals and plan design solutions for clients.

In 1996, Mike joined Express Scripts as a Senior Underwriter, where they developed financial packages, evaluated risk, and negotiated contracts. Mike later became the Regional Vice President, overseeing client relationship management and sales in the Northeast region. Mike achieved a high client retention rate and substantial growth in the value of their client portfolio during this time. Mike was then promoted to Vice President of the Health Plan Division, managing the relationship with Express Scripts' largest client and overseeing key strategic and clinical consultation, contract management, and IT project management.

Since 2012, Mike has been working at Surescripts. Initially, they served as the Vice President of Medication Delivery and Benefit Alliances, where they were responsible for managing relationships with various healthcare network constituents and providing strategic solutions to drive cost efficiencies and better clinical outcomes. Mike played a key role in leveraging Surescripts' connectivity and introducing innovative interoperability solutions. In 2023, they were promoted to the role of Vice President of Sales, further expanding their responsibilities within the company.

Mike Holz completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Gustavus Adolphus College in the years 1983 to 1987. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Reengineering from 1992 to 1995.
