Virtual Artificial Intelligence Program Participant at SureStart

Chinwe Uwolloh has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Chinwe began their career as a Computer Science Organization Social Media Manager at Philander Smith College in September 2021. Chinwe also served as a Front Desk Intern for the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management during their time at the college.

In 2022, Chinwe worked at several prestigious organizations. Chinwe was a participant in the Above and Beyond Computer Science program at Meta and also served as a Design Summit Fellow. Additionally, they participated in the Technical Development Series.

Chinwe was involved with the Google Developer Student Clubs, where they held the positions of Co-Lead and Operational Lead starting in August 2022. Chinwe also worked for Adobe as a Fellow and for Wells Fargo as a Go Far Mentee.

Chinwe's accomplishments include being part of the 1st Place Winners UIDP Student STEM Research PitchFest at UIDP in 2022. Chinwe also worked as the NASA MINDS Project Team Leader and Software Engineer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they developed a research paper on improving ISS inventory tracking.

In 2023, Chinwe participated in the SureStart Virtual Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning Program, where they successfully completed the program and developed an innovative AI detector called "Rumor Radar." Chinwe was also selected as a Dreamworks HBCU Launch Fellow at DreamWorks Animation. Chinwe joined the Arkansas State University National AI Campus as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher.

Chinwe demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Tensor Flow, as well as applying concepts such as Neural Networks, Loss Functions, Optimization, Activation Functions, Regularization, and Autoencoders through their various experiences. Chinwe showed a commitment to responsible information dissemination and promoting trust and authenticity in their work.

Chinwe Uwolloh completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science at Philander Smith College from 2021 to 2025. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. Chinwe completed "Intermediate Web Development," "Intermediate Technical Interview Prep," and "Android Mobile Development" courses at CodePath, with the "Intermediate Web Development" certification obtained in February 2023 and the other two obtained in October 2022 and February 2022, respectively. Chinwe also completed an "HTML Course" through Sololearn, but the exact month and year of completion are not specified. Chinwe completed an "Intro to Software Engineering" course at CodePath, as well as courses in "JavaScript," "Python for Beginners," "Object-Oriented Programming in Java," and "React + Redux" through Sololearn.
