Emma Blott

Emma Blott is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in full stack development, currently employed at Surfline\Wavetrak, Inc., where expertise in React, TypeScript, and NodeJS is applied to build and maintain multi-tier web applications while also managing infrastructure using Terraform and AWS. Emma has served as an instructor at Code First Girls and previously held software engineering roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Made Tech, where the focus was on modern software delivery practices. Prior to transitioning into software engineering, Emma worked as a geophysicist at Schlumberger and ExxonMobil, processing seismic data and managing complex projects. Emma's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Exploration Geophysics from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Bristol, complemented by an ERASMUS exchange at Grenoble INP - Phelma.
