Trey Highton is an experienced professional in both the insurance and academic sectors. Currently serving as a Risk Advisor specializing in commercial insurance at Bankers Insurance, LLC, Trey has obtained the Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation. Previously, Trey held various academic roles at the University of California, Santa Cruz, including a PhD candidacy and fellowships, while also contributing as a Development Consultant for the Baskin School of Engineering. As a former Commercial Insurance Broker at Prosper Insurance, Trey developed innovative partnerships to support environmental initiatives. Additional experience includes consulting for The Surfrider Foundation, directing the internationally acclaimed Save The Waves Film Festival, and teaching English and History in local school districts. Trey holds a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of California, Santa Cruz, along with an Associate of Arts in English Literature.
