Lisa Cohen

Manager, Katz Volunteering & Employment Mentorship Program at Surrey Place

Lisa Cohen has extensive experience in managing programs aimed at supporting marginalized communities, particularly autistic youth. Currently serving as the Manager of the Katz Volunteering & Employment Mentorship Program at Surrey Place since February 2017, Lisa co-developed a unique vocational training initiative that enhances labor market navigation skills through community engagement. Prior to this role, Lisa co-founded and held the position of Executive Director at the Centre for Jewish Culture and Education from January 2015 to January 2018. Additional experience includes serving as Transition Program Coordinator at McMaster University and various supervisory and coordinator roles at Reena and Access York. Lisa holds multiple advanced degrees in Critical Disability Studies, Public Administration, and Health Policy from York University and Queen's University, along with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and History from McMaster University.
