Bushra Tariq

Bushra Tariq is an experienced education professional with a focus on English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction and special education support. Currently serving as an Employment Specialist at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society since June 2021, Bushra also coordinates workshops for Settlement and Refugee & Immigrant Specialized Experience programs. In addition to this role, Bushra has been a Special Education Assistant in Surrey Schools since September 2013, providing support for students with special needs. Past positions include ESL Instructor roles at Douglas College and various educational institutions in Pakistan, where responsibilities included class management and lesson planning. Bushra holds a CELTA certificate from International House Vancouver and a Diploma of Education from the University of Strathclyde, complemented by a Master’s degree in History from Allama Iqbal Open University.
