Vanessa Ezaki

Vanessa Ezaki is a seasoned Health and Safety Officer currently working for School District #36 (Surrey) since March 2017, where responsibilities include leading programs such as the Certificate of Recognition (COR), Violence Prevention, and Ergonomics. Vanessa has been instrumental in the Fraser Health Rapid Response Team during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing essential support to school districts. Prior experience includes serving as the Safety, Health & Emergency Preparedness Officer for Delta School District 37 from August 2007 to March 2017 and as an OH&S Specialist at the BC Public School Employers' Association from July 2004 to August 2007. Additionally, Vanessa worked as a part-time instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, teaching workplace hazards and controls. Vanessa holds a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Exercise Science from the University of British Columbia.
