With more than 15 years of management experience in the healthcare industry, Regina Schwind has led organizational transformations in both academic and industry environments. She is currently the research program director for UI Health Radiology. Mrs. Schwind launched her career at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC), where she was responsible for enterprise implementation of a clinical trials management system and data analytics for the clinical research program.
Following her time at OSUCCC, Mrs. Schwind moved to the University of Illinois Cancer Center, where she quickly became the Director of Administrative Operations. Mrs. Schwind was responsible for the design, development, implementation, and management of the research administration application, which tracked and reported on the Center’s productivity through research funding and publications for the Center’s 300+ faculty members. She launched a multidisciplinary, translational research collaboration for a swine cancer model between interventional radiology and animal genomics, resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications and, within three years, more than $4 million in DoD and NCI funding.
Mrs. Schwind holds a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business. As part of her Sus Clinicals responsibilities, Mrs. Schwind manages planning and execution of clinical research, liaising between clients and the large animal research facilities at UI, and supports securing grant funding to advance scientific practices.
