Food Safety Coordinator at sushi maki

Matilde de la Torre has extensive experience in food safety and nutrition, currently serving as the Food Safety Coordinator at Sushi Maki since July 2011. In this role, Matilde oversees compliance for 20 locations, including restaurants, supermarkets, universities, a commissary/production plant, and a catering division, ensuring adherence to regulations from various oversight bodies such as the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, the FDA, along with third-party audits from Everclean and NSF. Prior to this position, Matilde worked as a Nutritional Consultant at Naturhouse from September 2009 to April 2011, where responsibilities included creating customized nutritional and diet plans based on thorough assessments of client needs. Matilde holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from Florida State University, obtained in 2009.
