Alex Hurley

Alex Hurley currently serves as the Investment Lead at Sustainable Development Technology Canada, a position held since October 2021. Prior to this role, Hurley worked at Creative Destruction Lab as a Senior Venture Manager and Oceans Stream Lead, following a tenure as a Business Analyst at Dane Creek Capital Corp. Responsibilities during earlier positions included business analysis, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, project management, and supporting R&D initiatives. Hurley's background in oceanography includes a Master's degree from Dalhousie University, where research focused on sediment density estimation, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science and Oceanography. Experience also encompasses laboratory management and data collection at BlueLight Analytics and the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, demonstrating a strong foundation in both scientific and investment domains within the oceanographic sector.
